My parents and sister came to our house for thanksgiving again this year. I was SO excited about it seeing how this is my favorite holiday. What's not to love...there are no gifts to worry about giving or receiving..all that is expected of you is to eat an exorbitant amount of food, enjoy yourself and lounge all day long. Our friends Claire and Chance and Maan joined us which made me really happy. BUT I suppose I got myself a little too excited...and staying up too late with my parents and waking up at 2am to argue incoherently with Charlie about his late poker game didn't help. I woke up sick as a dog...terrible headache and non-stop yacking. I stayed sick all Wednesday and the first half of Thursday...just long enough to miss my favorite part of cooking and hostessing. I really am still bummed out about that. Oh well. It all worked out.
